Clash of Clans appears to be ramping up its momentum with a stream of engaging updates, showcasing its adeptness in this arena. According to recent buzz, it seems the title is poised for another substantial update come April 2024, promising a rich array of novel features for players to immerse themselves in. Anticipate the arrival of a fresh companion, expanded levels for troops and structures, the introduction of player tagging in chat, and a host of other enhancements in the forthcoming Clash of Clans update for April 2024, details of which I'll be sure to delve into for you.
Initially teased as an enigmatic octopus appendage, this new pet has emerged as the Angry Jelly! Accessible upon reaching Town Hall 16 and upgrading the Pet House to level 10, this airborne ally showcases a distinctive talent known as "Brainwash," redirecting the hero's focus squarely onto the adversary's fortifications upon deployment.
The Wrathful Gelatin directs its fury towards both ground and aerial adversaries, prioritizing the hero's designated target. Attached to the chosen hero, it remains impervious to direct harm and traps until the hero succumbs. Upon the hero's demise, the Wrathful Gelatin transitions into a standard troop, vulnerable to enemy assaults and trap activations.
Several Defenses, Buildings, and Troops are set to receive enhancements with the introduction of new levels. Let's delve into what's on the horizon.
Upgraded tiers await five structures within the game, hinting at further enhancements to come!
Amidst the elixir troops, the Yeti and Electro Titan receive boosts with new levels, while the Ice Golem sees a crucial upgrade to Level 8.
Solely the Flame Flinger gains an advantage with its latest level.
Exciting social functionalities have emerged in CoC with the recent April 2024 patch. Now, Clan participants have the ability to mention others within the clan chat by typing "@" followed by a designated tag. This facilitates direct communication with Clan Leaders or fellow members, adding a social media-esque touch to the gaming experience.
@clan: Alerts all Clan members.
@leaders: Notifies both Co-Leaders and the Leader.
@player_name: Directs a notification to a particular player.
Players have the option to deactivate these notifications by customizing their in-game settings. Simply navigate to Settings > More Settings > Notification Settings > Clan Chat Tagging to toggle your preference.
Much like the functionality seen in the Clan Capital feature, players now have the ability to designate a distinct Defensive Layout within the Builder Base. This enables players to customize their primary layout without compromising their defensive capabilities. Below are the particulars:
For the Defensive Layout to be valid, it must encompass all structures and traps present in the active layout. However, it becomes deselected under specific circumstances, such as modifying the layout without incorporating all necessary elements. Additionally, if obstructions impede the placement of buildings and traps, the Defensive Layout is temporarily disabled, yet it can be reinstated by clearing these obstacles.
With the recent upgrade to the Clan Castle level, players are now empowered to contribute two Siege Machines, doubling the previous donation capacity. This enhancement enables the exchange and fulfillment of requests for two Siege Machines instead of one. As a result, players can now deploy a diverse array of up to five distinct Siege Machines during battle.
In the clan, individual members are limited to donating a maximum of two siege machines. Alternatively, two clan members can each contribute one siege machine. Should both donations happen to be of the same type, both options will remain available for selection.
Adjustments are in the pipeline for Clans with the forthcoming CoC April 2024 update, spanning alterations in functionality, perks, wars, and the addition of the Clan Capital.
Regarding Clan Games, revisions have been implemented in the weighting of specific Builder Base tasks, with an increased likelihood of featuring Home Village tasks. Additionally, new tasks geared towards securing victories through the strategic utilization of selected Hero Equipment have been introduced.
In terms of Clan Perks, enhancements have been made to enable each player to contribute more troops, spells, and siege machines, with donation limits escalating in accordance with the Clan's level.
The landscape of Clan Wars undergoes transformation, including revisions to War Rewards and the implementation of a fresh signup system. Notably, Town Hall 16 Villages will now receive 6 Starry Ore instead of the previous 5. Rewards for losses and ties in Clan Wars have been amplified. Furthermore, 35 vs 35 and 45 vs 45 Wars have been reinstated, while the war roster selection interface now provides visibility into each clan member's most recent online activity.
Additionally, a new feature allows Clan Leaders and Co-Leaders to initiate a Clan War Sign-Up directly within the Clan Chat, enabling them to select participants for upcoming wars. These sign-ups can be pinned in the chat and will remain in place until the commencement of the war. It's a subtle yet fantastic enhancement in my opinion.
Modifications have been implemented within the Clan Capital, encompassing an increase in the loot limit per attack and the implementation of defensive bonuses that scale based on the remaining hitpoints of deployed units.
