I've been using this calendar for about a year it was fantastic. I was able to color code my events and it was very customizable. Now it's terrible. I can't change the colors now with the new update and the additional required app. My Calendar is stuck in limbo because dark colors are stuck in the background and I can't delete events. This app needs to go back to the way it was. Reply: That is where I am having trouble in the app it's stuck and won't change the colors anymore since pro update

Updated 10/30: Wasted way too much time on what should be a "simple" thing, trying to change the colors--app is super glitchy, now keeps reverting to transparent so I can't even see the duration of scheduled events--and trying to get it to sync with any laptop calendar at all. Spent an hour searching for an alternative and succeeded--for $5 I now have a beautiful, well-functioning calendar that syncs automatically, without the need for a pricey (and complicated) 3rd-party app., as recommended by the developer. For a buck I suppose it was worth a shot, but I won't be using this anymore. (And yes, there is one calendar that syncs automatically to both Google and Apple calendars.)

I love most Simple Tools, but especially the Calendar. I use it as a total replacement for Google's program. I'm not going to tell you how bad Google's calendar is, in fact I used to like it. Like back in Kitkat, Google's calendar was lightweight, efficient, fast, looked great and was easy to use. Merits I would easily use to describe Simple Calendar. Simplicity and functionality, and the developer seems genuinely attentive to user concerns and bug reports. Give it a try, I think you'll like it!

Love it! I was looking for a calendar that is separate from email, and simple. This calendar is exactly what I was looking for. My appointments are NOT shared by mistake, and my son does not get notifications about my hair dresser appointments while hanging out with his friends, as it was with the native Google calendar. Also, it has a nicely laid out monthly view, multicolor events, flexible reminder settings, nice recurring features. It is oerfect.

Excellent calendar. At this point it's one of the most important and beloved tools in my daily life. Not great for multiple devices as far as I can tell, because you would have to constantly export the .ics files between your phone and your tablet or what have you to keep both up to date, but I only use it on my phone, so that's not a problem for me. Google calendar's cloud backup is convenient, but super creepy. I much prefer to back up this app by exporting the .ics files every now and then.

It traps you without telling you you have the regular, unpaid version of the app, for a certain amount of time before you have to do a free trail. It leaves you with no option of not doing it, then either pay for it, or delete the app with all of your dates and no way to get to them, to put them in anything else. Overall, a really sleezy way to trap people. Glad it's only $2.00 I lost, but still, a low blow trap. The app doesn't even offer that much either. It also doesn't transfer your events.
